Chris Brown’s Free, So He Can Stop Begging President Obama For Help

Good news everyone — Chris Brown is free — so he can stop harassing President Obama now.

The singer found himself stranded in the Philippines for about three days, due to some legal complications over a big show he missed, so he resorted to begging POTUS for help on Instagram. (Still not sure why he thought a backflip was going to help his case).

The New York Times reports that Breezy was finally allowed to fly out of Manila on a private jet on Friday night. He was still forced to wait three hours at the airport and then fly to Hong Kong, instead of going to straight to Macau, but at least he got out.

He was able to obtain an emigration clearance certificate, which confirmed that he had to legal obligations in the Philippines, but that’s not the end of this story.

The trouble started after the Maligaya Development Corp. accused Brown and his promoter John Michael Pio Roda of canceling a New Year’s Eve show that the singer had contractually agreed to for $1 million. So although he’s left the country, there will be an investigation into the complaint that can potentially lead to criminal charges.

“What is important at this point is for him to know that there are criminal proceedings against him at the preliminary investigation level,” Philippine Justice Secretary Leila de Lima explained.

As for Breezy, well, he denied any wrongdoing in a series of tweets that have now been deleted. “I have nothing to do with anything going on right now,” he tweeted this week. “I came back to Manila to do a make-up show for New Years. I did the show three days ago.”

Needless to say, he was very happy to get on that plane and head to Macau.
